The exploiter behind the $46 million KyberSwap hack says they plan to outline a treaty for the potential return of funds on Nov. 30, but not if threats and hostilities from execs keep up. The exploiter behind the $46 million crypto theft against KyberSwap has demanded its execs and tokenholders ease up on the hostilities, threatening to push out negotiations until everyone is “more civil.” In an on -chain message addressed to KyberSwap executives, tokenholders and liquidity providers on Nov. 28, the exploiter said they plan to release a statement around a potential treaty with KyberSwap on Nov. 30 — but won’t do it if hostilities continue. “I said I was willing to negotiate. Bitcoin investors hold tight in uncertain times, on-chain data shows

Image
Despite fresh waves of regulatory litigation and muted market dynamics, on -chain data suggest larger crypto investors are clinging on throughout a period of uncertainty. On Tuesday, the number of unique addresses holding at least one bitcoin breached new highs, above one million, as the market continues to digest Blackrock’s spot ETF filing late last week. Addresses cradling a larger share — above 10 BTC — have also breached heights not seen since September 2019, market data shows .  Also this week, bitcoin’s dormant supply hit a new all-time high of 15.2 million BTC, while exchange balances plunged to their lowest since January 2018, Glassnode data shows . Bitcoin held in wallets that have little to no transaction history suggests more holders are opting to guard their coins rather than spend them in anticipation of future price rises. Roughly 146,000 BTC per month is making its way into illiquid wallets away from centralized exchanges. That may be offering up a narrative fo...

Image
Six tried and tested on-chain metrics are repeating patterns last seen at the bottom of the past three bear markets. Several on-chain metrics from the Bitcoin (BTC) network are flashing buy signals following this year’s rally. Bitcoin has broken out of its torpor to notch up a 37% gain since the beginning of 2023. However, on -chain data is still signaling it could be a “ generational buying opportunity ” according to analysts. On Jan. 24, researcher and technical analyst “Game of Trades” identified six on-chain metrics for his 71,000 Twitter followers. The first metric is an accumulation trend score highlighting zones of heavy accumulation in terms of entity size and the number of coins bought. “Large entities have been in deep accumulation mode ever since the FTX collapse,” the analyst noted before adding “similar accumulation took place in the 2018 and 2020 bottoms.” Bitcoin: 6 on-chain metrics calling for a generational long-term buying opportunity A thread — Game of Trade...
