Brace for inflation as Robert Kiyosaki predicts ‘fake money’ crisis

Amid his repeated warnings about a potentially devastating economic crisis , popular investor and finance author Robert Kiyosaki has sounded alarm on, as he called it, “fake money ” controlled by “Marxists” in the American government, as well as the lengthy inflation at the country’s doorstep. Indeed, Kiyosaki voiced his opinion that the current United States President, Joe Biden, had “caused inflation to rise, making life harder for the poor and middle class” after cutting the Keystone XL pipeline, which “caused the price of oil to rise from $30 to $130 in just one week,” per his X post on June 9. Inflation taking hold Furthermore, the author of the best-selling personal finance book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ warned that “ inflation will be with us for years” despite his belief that Biden will not win the presidential elections, as he argued that the “liberal academic ‘swamp’ that brought the Biden crime family to power… are still in power.” ...

US Inflation Falls to 3.4%

Image
In what is certainly crucial data for the economy’s direction, US inflation has fallen to 3.4%. Indeed, the CPI report has continued an 11-week trend of data arriving above 3%, with traders not optimistic that the figure will fall below that number any time soon. The development plays a vital role in the direction of the Federal Reserve. Specifically, the central bank is carefully observing these reports to inform their inaugural interest rate cut for 2024. They have consistently affirmed that those cuts were coming; however, they have not set a timetable for when they could arrive. Just how bullish is the Bitcoin halving for BTC price? Experts debate

Image
Analysts recently debated whether or not the Bitcoin halving is still a meaningful catalyst for BTC’s price discovery. A recent panel at the Swan Pacific Bitcoin festival was cleverly titled, “Are halving price cycles bullshit?” Throughout the discussion, host and founder of the Bitcoin Layer Nik Bhatia asked Marathon Digital CEO Fred Thiel, Swan CIO Ralph Zagury and Swan product manager Andy Edstrom to share their thoughts on whether the Bitcoin halving is truly a bullish event or just another narrative that novice investors buy into.  While the panel’s headline might be offputting for some, the inquiry is of great interest to all manner of Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency investors. The conventional belief held by many in the space is that the Bitcoin supply halving is a bullish phenomenon that when complete, is followed by near parabolic upside in BTC price. Go and ask any Bitcoin lover about what they’re most excited about in the next year and if they don’t mention the chance ...

How blockchain tech is making an impact in a challenging credit market

Image
The credit market might be challenging at times — but blockchain technology can bring borrowing and lending into the 21st century. Surging interest rates and a challenging economic climate are making it difficult for individuals and businesses to access credit. In emerging markets with a high proportion of unbanked people, such issues are nothing new. Consumers who lack accounts with a financial institution often struggle to apply for loans at competitive rates — primarily because they lack a credit rating. As a result, wary lenders increase the cost of borrowing to applicants perceived as risky. It’s a vicious cycle — a chicken-and-egg situation. You need a reputation to access credit, but how can you build an application without a lender taking a chance on you?  Other pain points exist as well. Even self-employed entrepreneurs with access to a bank account can struggle to borrow funds — all because their income may fluctuate from month to month. In some countries, the application p...

BarnBridge DAO calls halt to ‘all work’ on DeFi protocol amid SEC probe

Image
Some DAO members joked about the situation while others believed there may be an ulterior motive at play. BarnBridge DAO members have been told to pause “all work” related to the project after a reported probe by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In a July 6 post to the platform’s Discord channel, Douglas Park, a lawyer for the decentralized autonomous organization revealed the news to members. “I am letting you know that the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating BarnBridge DAO and individuals associated with the DAO,” Park said. pic.twitter.com/ChsjBuGEzM — BarnBridge (@Barn_Bridge) July 7, 2023 In order to “reduce potential further legal liability,” Park suggested “all work” on BarnBridge-related products should stop — including the closure of liquidity pools — and that individuals should not receive compensation for work flowing from the investment efforts of the DAO. Co-founder Tyler Ward, presumably dubbed “Lord Tyler” on Discord, c...
