Goldman Says China to Hit 4.6% Growth After 90-Day Tariff Pause

The investment bank now expects China’s GDP growth forecast to rise to 4.6 percent in the year 2025 up from its initial projection at 4%. Indeed, the e-commerce juggernaut is seeking to “reduce exposure to tariffs,” according to a Bloomberg report. A new phishing scam has emerged in China that uses a fake Skype video app to target crypto users As per a report by crypto security analytic firm SlowMist, the Chinese hackers behind the phishing scam used China’s ban on international applications as the basis of their scam, as several mainland users often search for these banned applications via third-party platforms. Hong Kong Monetary Authority concludes first CBDC trial

The initial phase of Hong Kong’s central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot has concluded, showcasing potential advancements in digital finance, though leaving uncertainties regarding its full implementation and technological direction. Hong Kong has finished the first part of its trial for a CBDC. At this point, it is still not clear if they will fully roll out the retail version, called e-HKD. The project showed some promising areas, like atomic settlement, tokenization and programmability. Taiwanese lawmakers reportedly expect to finalize a crypto regulatory framework by the end of March or April at the earliest. The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) of Taiwan will become the main regulator of Cryptocurrencies in the island country, according to the head of the authority . FSC chairman Huang Tien-mu has announced that the regulator will assume the supervisory authority on the crypto industry in Taiwan, the local news agency United Daily News reported. Huang addressed Taiwan’s parliament, the Legislative Yuan, on March 20 regarding the regulation of cryptocurrencies in the Republic of China (ROC).
