The Role of IPFS in the Future of Decentralized Storage

The Role of IPFS in the Future of Decentralized Storage! The growing reliance on data in our digital world has brought about an urgent need for more efficient, secure, and scalable storage solutions. Traditional centralized storage systems, though effective, are increasingly being challenged by the sheer volume of data and the demand for privacy and security. Enter decentralized storage, a paradigm shift that leverages blockchain technology to distribute data across multiple nodes, offering enhanced security, privacy, and resilience. At the heart of this revolution lies the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). What is IPFS? IPFS is a peer-to-peer hypermedia protocol designed to make the web faster, safer, and more open. Unlike traditional HTTP-based storage, which relies on centralized servers, IPFS allows users to host and share files across a decentralized network of nodes. Each file and all of the blocks within it are given a unique fingerprint called a cryptographic hash. This hash a...

NEAR taps Nym for metadata privacy, encryption services

Layer 1 blockchain NEAR will integrate Nym Technologies’ data privacy and encryption services for users and DApps operating across its ecosystem. Layer 1 protocol NEAR has tapped blockchain security firm Nym to provide end-to-end encryption and metadata privacy services for its ecosystem. Nym, which provides blockchain agnostic ‘layer 0’ privacy infrastructure, will avail its mixnet tools to encrypt and cloak blockchain traffic and communication across the NEAR Protocol ecosystem. Masking off-chain metadata traffic will protect transaction data during communication and create a barrier for malicious actors looking to de-anonymize users through access to IP addresses. What is ethical hacking, and how does it work?

Ethical hacking is the practice of identifying and testing vulnerabilities in a system to improve its security and prevent unauthorized access. Ethical hacking, also known as “white hat” hacking, is the process of identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in a computer system or network in order to assess its security and provide recommendations for improving it. Ethical hacking is done with the permission and knowledge of the organization or individual that owns the system being tested. Ethical hacking aims to find flaws in a system before malevolent hackers may take advantage of them. The same tools and methods used by malevolent hackers are also used by ethical hackers, but their objective is to enhance security rather than cause harm. Here’s how ethical hacking typically works. Planning and reconnaissance The target system or network is investigated by the ethical hacker in order to acquire data that could be utilized to find weaknesses. This could consist of information such as ...

Uniswap's BNB deployment should use multiple bridges, claims LIFI CEO

The LIFI executive proposed that a team of four researchers be appointed to study the idea of a multi-bridge approach. As Uniswap DAO’s vote to deploy to BNB chain continues, LIFI CEO Phillip Zentner argued in a February 6 forum post that the current proposal is flawed. According to him, the plan to use Wormhole as the sole governance bridge for Uniswap should be abandoned. Instead, he claimed that Uniswap researchers should work on a standardized system for using multiple bridges to handle governance decisions. The ongoing discussion on @Uniswap's forum is critical for the multi-chain ecosystem in 2023. TL;DR: Uniswap's model for x-chain governance will likely become industry standard. As an unbiased member of the community, @lifiprotocol is rooting for a multi-bridge implementation — Philipp Zentner | LI.FI (@PhilippZentner) February 6, 2023 In the post, Zentner stated that LIFI strongly recommends “that Uniswap not select one bridge provider for its BNB Chain Deployme...
